It was a beautiful day filled with laughter and cheer as our farm hosted its first annual holiday Christmas party at Jet Fresh Flower Growers, S.A.
We welcomed the children of the families from our rose farm in Cotopaxi, Ecuador and our partner farm, Roses With Altitude in Cayambe, for a fun Christmas celebration featuring a surprise visit by Santa Claus.
Mike has been in Ecuador this week visiting the team before the holidays, when he made a special surprise appearance dressed as Jolly Saint Nick.
The day was an emotional one as the team organized the event and provided gifts for the children.
Fun & Entertainment
The farm had plenty of activities for the families to enjoy. There were entertainers and caricatures who performed and organized songs and dances; face-painting; as well as an inflatable slide for the children to play on.
Snow cones and cotton candy were a yummy little treat to get into the holiday spirit, too. Luis and Carlos enjoyed helping for the kids.
Free Check-Ups
Children also received medical check-ups courtesy of Dr. Tatiana Fuenmayor. Melisa’s sister graciously volunteered her time to provide free medical exams for the children of the families who attended our holiday party. We can’t thank her enough for donating her time.
