Jet Fresh Flower Growers Hosts Brunch En La Finca 2018

On September 20, 2018 the Jet Fresh family hosted our first-ever Brunch en la Finca farm tour event at our rose farm, Jet Fresh Flower Growers, S.A. in Cotopaxi, Ecuador.

Set during the week of the floral trade shows in Quito — Flor Ecuador 2018 and Agriflor 2018 — we welcomed a wonderful group of people in the floral industry who wanted to share a fun tour experience Jet Fresh-style.

The tour was not only an educational experience, but an entertaining one as well. Our guests learned about our growing and production processes, as well as witnessed our newest variety, “White House” being grafted. Immediately following the tour was a delicious Ecuadorian brunch overlooking our reservoir with bottomless drinks and live entertainment.

Check out the beautiful moments captured during the event this highlight reel.

Testing Ground

Before heading into the greenhouses, the tour group was first introduced to our rose varieties testing in water. This includes our blue and red ribbon winners from SAF’s 2018 Outstanding Varieties Competition: “Milva,” “Encanto” and “Avant Garde.”

This was a great opportunity for the group to see our varieties up-close-and-personal before walking through the greenhouses after they’ve been harvested in the morning.

Puppy Love

Our farm pups, Blacky and Whitey welcomed our group with big smiles, and joined us along the tour through the greenhouses. Every farm should have dogs.

Greenhouse Tour

Melisa, our farm-direct sales rep, conducted the tour leading the group through the different greenhouses and explaining our growing process. Some even trimmed a rose stem for the very first time.

This was a very educational experience; especially for those who have been in the floral industry for a long time, yet have never had the chance to trim a stem directly from the greenhouse.

Brunch en la Finca

With clear skies and crispy air, the Brunch en la Finca event commenced, immediately following the tour inside our post-production room.

The brunch overlooked our reservoir, right next to our “casita” where we served brunch buffet-style. Bottomless mimosas were passed out throughout the event, along with other delicious Ecuadorian accompaniments.

Fresh-cut roses directly from our farm were also decorated on the tables creating the perfect farm-to-table atmosphere.

Lastly but certainly not least, Ecuadorian music was performed live giving our visitors the ultimate experience at our farm. Our Growers family led the dance party, and everyone had a wonderful time dancing and enjoying each other’s company.

Thank you!

The Jet Fresh family would like to thank everyone who made our first brunch/tour a great success. We’re so honored for everyone who joined and participated with us during the busy floral trade shows, and we hope to see you all again!
